Cédric Piette has obtained his PhD from Artois University in 2007, and is now Assistant Professor in Computer Science. Cédric Piette's main research topic is Artificial Intelligence, and particularly Constraint Programming. He contributes to this field for about a decade, especially on algorithm for SAT and CSP solving, explanation of inconsistency and parallelization of solvers.

In addition, Cédric Piette is President of the French Association for Constraint Programming (Association Française de Programmation par Contraintes) since june 2013.
