About me

I am a PhD student in Artificial Intelligence at Lens Computer Science Research Lab (CRIL UMR 8188) in Lens (France), since October 2017. I'm working under the supervision of Sébastien Konieczny, Pierre Marquis and Srdjan Vesic. I'm interrested in Argumentation and Knowledge Representation. Precisely, my research focuses on studing the notion of Support in argumentation.

Before that, I obtained my Master degree in Artificial Intelligence in 2017 from Paris Descartes University.
My Master thesis was on Expert agents in negotiation and argumentation for serious games on participatory management, supervised by Jean-Pierre Briot and Nicolas Maudet, carried out at Laboratory of Computer Sciences Paris 6 (LIP6 UMR 7606).

Thesis

Using of argumentation to automate the exploitation of customer reviews for e-commerce and citizen consultations : Modeling attacks and supports between arguments

The purpose of this thesis is to study the notion of support in argumentation. The first task is to study the weaknesses of current approaches. In particular, it is necessary to identify the results provided by these approaches on examples from real cases (customer reviews, newspaper reports, online debate platforms, etc.), and to study similarities and differences. Then, the main goal will be to study the principles that should govern these semantics of attack/support, and to propose adequate semantics. The proposed semantics will then be evaluated theoretically (in terms of satisfied properties, their complexity of implementation, etc.) and practically (compared to real cases). Finally, it will be necessary to complete the formal framework constructed to take into account positive or negative votes on the arguments and/or on relations (support and attack), as well as other information (user reputation, troll detection, etc.).
