Call for Demonstrations

The 3rd International Conference on Formal Concept Analysis (ICFCA) will be held in Lens, France, February 14-18, 2005. Besides the classical technical plenary sessions, invited presentations by outstanding researchers in the domain and tutorials on FCA and related fields, the conference will feature a demo session.

The demo session organizers are inviting presentations of operational FCA tools, both generic and domain-specific, as well as of successful applications thereof to practical problems. Of particular interest will be applications showing integration of FCA techniques and tools with relational databases and other sources of complexly structured data (e.g., XML-data repositories, multimedia data, etc.).

Demonstration proposals should give a short description of demonstrated system, explain what is going to be demonstrated, and state the significance of the contribution to the field of FCA.

Successful submission are expected to provide, beside the technical description of the presented system, representative set of performance results together with quality measures (on standard benchmarks in the field) and comparative examples.

Short papers describing demos will appear in the supplementary proceedings of ICFCA05. Demonstration proposals must be no more than four (4) pages, in English and should be formatted according to the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science guidelines. Authors instructions and style files can be downloaded at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.
